Hillcrest has partnered with lifelong missionary and pastor Dr. Daniel Park and his wife Sarah, who had a heart to plant a church in Nagoya, Japan. Japan is less than 1% christian and is called the missionary graveyard because it is so difficult to reach the people of Japan with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In spite of its reputation Pastor Daniel answered the call of God and planted Nagoya International Community. Hillcrest has sent missionaries to aid in ministry and outreach at the church, led by Dr. Merv Weerasekera.
